{"id":84,"date":"2019-06-08T09:27:28","date_gmt":"2019-06-08T08:27:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mayfairofficespace.co.uk\/blog\/?p=84"},"modified":"2019-11-22T14:03:18","modified_gmt":"2019-11-22T14:03:18","slug":"60-firefighters-called-to-mayfair-restaurant-blaze","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mayfairofficespace.co.uk\/blog\/2019\/06\/60-firefighters-called-to-mayfair-restaurant-blaze\/","title":{"rendered":"60 firefighters called to Mayfair restaurant blaze"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>SMOKE was sent billowing into the sky on Thursday when a fire broke out at a restaurant in Mayfair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eight fire engines from stations across London were called to the blaze at Gymkhana Indian restaurant in Albemarle Street at around 4pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It took sixty fire fighters from the London Fire Brigade over two hours to get the fire under control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fire investigators believe that the blaze started in the restaurant&#8217;s ducting system.  The ducting, used for ventilation, was destroyed and half of the ground floor was damaged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A statement posted to the Gymkana website said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>A fire broke out at Albemarle Street in Mayfair causing Gymkhana to temporarily close.
