{"id":74,"date":"2019-04-04T18:27:47","date_gmt":"2019-04-04T17:27:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mayfairofficespace.co.uk\/blog\/?p=74"},"modified":"2019-04-04T18:30:35","modified_gmt":"2019-04-04T17:30:35","slug":"cheval-blanc-hotel-proposed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mayfairofficespace.co.uk\/blog\/2019\/04\/cheval-blanc-hotel-proposed\/","title":{"rendered":"New luxury hotel planned in the heart of Mayfair"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A BRAND new 83 bedroom luxury hotel has been proposed in the heart of Mayfair. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plans for the new hotel at the junction of New Bond Street, <a href=\"https:\/\/mayfairofficespace.co.uk\/streets\/grafton-street-offices\/\">Grafton Street<\/a> and Bruton Lane were <a href=\"https:\/\/idoxpa.westminster.gov.uk\/online-applications\/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=documents&amp;keyVal=POZACCRP2NK00\">submitted to Westminster Council<\/a> at the end of last month by O &amp; H Properties and French luxury brand conglomerate LVMH Mo\u00ebt Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new &#8220;world class hotel in the heart of Mayfair&#8221; would be run under LMVH&#8217;s lavish hotel brand Cheval Blanc and include restaurants and a spa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Foster + Partners-designed scheme includes two separate buildings linked at ground level, rising to seven storeys in Grafton Street and eleven storeys in Bruton Lane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All of the existing site would be demolished including the Grade II-listed shopfront for Wartski jewellers and a 70s <a href=\"https:\/\/mayfairofficespace.co.uk\/office\/11-14-grafton-street-office-space.html\">office block<\/a> designed by Seifert &amp; Partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Documents submitted with the planning application say the new hotel design is a  &#8220;modern response to the heritage of Mayfair.&#8221; The scheme also includes improvements to the public realm in Bruton Lane and Grafton Street.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"780\" height=\"482\" src=\"https:\/\/mayfairofficespace.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Screen-Shot-2019-04-04-at-17.58.20.png\" alt=\"Image: Foster + Partners\" class=\"wp-image-75\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mayfairofficespace.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Screen-Shot-2019-04-04-at-17.58.20.png 780w, https:\/\/mayfairofficespace.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Screen-Shot-2019-04-04-at-17.58.20-300x185.png 300w, https:\/\/mayfairofficespace.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Screen-Shot-2019-04-04-at-17.58.20-768x475.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 780px) 100vw, 780px\" \/><figcaption>Image: Foster + Partners<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-0 is-cropped\"><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A BRAND new 83 bedroom luxury hotel has been proposed in the heart of Mayfair.
